Hba1c, FBS, PPBS and RBS

Asked for Male, 40 Years

Iam tested my sugars recently at good lab. Iam not diabetic. Hba1c 4.9 Mean glucose 95 After 3 days later check my following sugars. FBS 102. PPBS 134 after 2 hrs of little breakfast RBS 96 at evening . Which test i rely on hba1c or FBS and etc. Or suggest any other accurate test. Please suggest. Regards.

HbA1C is gold standard and most accurate test to diagnose diabetes. It’s level should be less than 5.6. Your random, fasting pp blood glucose tests are also within the normal range. This means you do not have diabetes. Further testing is not needed

Next Steps

Check HbA1C levels once a year to monitor for development of diabetes or prediabetes
