HBA1C 5.8%
Was diagnosed with diabetes and hba1c 12.1. Reduced weight and managed to get to 5.4 range in 6 months WITHOUT MEDICINE. Now standing at 5.7 to 5.8 from last one year. Trying best to loose more weight and get close to 5. I hope no need to get on medication?

Hba1c less than 5.7% is the goal.. Doesn't matter 5.4% or5% Do not run behind numbers.. Enjoy life .. Follow diet and exercise and achieve the goal of hba1c less than 5.7%.. Unnecessary thinking about numbers will induce stress and you may find difficulty in controlling sugars inspite of your efforts.. Consult online for further guidance

If you continue keeping your Hba1c around this range then you don’t need medications.
