Hi there.. painful shoulder movements could be due to shoulder impingement, rotator cuff injury, frozen shoulder, bursitis, shoulder subluxation, humerus fracture, cervical spine diseases like cervical spondylosis, disc prolapse...please do physiotherapy as if you stop movements due to pain there are chances of that shoulder joint could become stiff.. consult orthopedician once and get X-ray of shoulder and cervical spine done once.. treatment wil be according to the cause.. hot fomentation(increases blood supply helps healing) with alternating ice packs( numbs the pain), local gel of diclofenac will provide symptomatic relief..
