Have pain on right side of sternum
Can anyone explain what is the nature of pain in cosyochondritis ? I have sharp pains in right side for a year now. no cough no breathlessness

Costochondritis pain usually sharp but may be intermitenttly dull sometimes. Usually at junction of  Rib with cartilage i. e. Anterior Chest wall near mediastinum.

Do a chest x-ray PA VIEW . if normal then the pain cause needs to be further evaluated. Consult a pulmonologist.

It will be sharp ,or dull pain.it occurs at the junction ofRib,and cartilage.Nothing serious.if pain is more,pl have pain killers,and anti inflammatory drugs.pl consult Pulmonologist for further evaluation and treatment.
