Iam havinga burning sensation while eating food so i check my tonsil with my finger. I found a hard mass or bone near my left tonsil. Is it ok or i have to go trough some tests

The burning sensation can be due to some throat infection. But the bone can be normal bone as well or sometimes elongated styloid bone.
