I've been suffering from a constant right-sided headache, ear ache and face pain for weeks. I have been unwell for the past year with recurrent sinus, ear and throat infections, and low/borderline low white blood cell count. My jaw has also stopped working properly - possible TMJ - but it seems to be getting worse. Right cervical lymph nodes also swollen and painful.
Doctor referred me to neurology, ENT and maxillofacial - my first appointment is in 12 weeks. Since the referrals I also found a 2cm rubbery oval mass on the top of my right tonsil, which disappears into my soft palate when I poke my tongue out, and also started to have trouble swallowing, like food is getting stuck. My doctor is monitoring the tonsil lump, and is taking bloods today. However this weekend I also found a 2cm hard, rubbery axillary node and a matted painful mass (>1cm) in my elbow where I think the lymph nodes are supposed to be. Should I be pushing for a more urgent referral?
