There are multiple reasons for hair loss. unless you find the triggering factor it will take a lot of time and its progressive. Minoxidil is a FDA approved medication but cannot be stopped abruptly. There multiple other modalities to improve hair loss. Dietary modification, hormonal stabilisation, life style modifications and treatments like PRP, Dermaroller and Regenera depending on the requirement.
Health Tips

You should not stop minoxidil....Mintop is a good brand...but addition of good supplements, Prp and Dermaroller with growth factors can give a better result than minoxidil monotherapy...can discuss about tablets also....
