Scalp pain starts with irritation or inflammation of the skin on your head. This irritation or inflammation can have several different causes, including scalp psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff), scalp folliculitis, allergic contact dermatitis, stress, ponytail headache or burning scalp syndrome. This inflammation can be the major cause of hair loss. This is a treatable condition. Consult a Dermatologist for the same.
