Haemorrhage at macular area
Can haemorrhage at macular area be treated? If yes where and how much time it takes to heal? As per this consultation macular damages are permanent and cannot be treated is that true? Doctor said it cannot be treated through surgery and it has slim chances of vision recovery with medications. Please advise.

You need to see a retina specialist.  Your consultation  is incomplete  presently.  Your treating doctor has referred  you to a retina specialist.  Only he can decide the prognosis  and treatment  after thorough check up

The outcome will depend on what is the cause and duration of the haemorrhage. If it's a macular haemorrhage due to trauma, or due to diabetes or due to age related degeneration, each of them would have a different underlying underlying cause and different treatment. There are certain scans called OCT or FFA angiography which may need to be done to document the thickness of the retina fuebto the bleed and how it responds to treatment
Next Steps
A retina specialist opinion is a must
Health Tips
