Haemoglobin level and heart patient
I have stenting for 7 years now. Recently for past 4-5 years now, my haemoglobin level is in the range of 16-17.5. I am a male.
Does that mean it's polycythemia vera? I don't have any physical problems.

Hello i have noted your concern
I think you are a smoker, as Smoking will show increase in hemoglobin levels
So if at all you smoke or using tobacco in any form, you need to stop it, as it is not only harmful for your heart, it can cause other health issues
If you are not a smoker, then we need to rule out the cause for increase in hemoglobin levels, kindly consult for further evaluation treatment and management
