H pylori infection
Is helicobactor pylori infection contagious? Can a blood test detect it? I fear I might have it as I'm having acidity problem from last 2 months

H pylori infection is not contagious. It is highly endemic in our country due to poor hygiene. It can be detected by some blood and stools tests but we routinely check it during endoscopy or by breath CBC, FBS, PPF, HbA1c, THYROID PROFILE, LIPID PROFILE, LFT, RFT, AMYLASE, LIPASE, CRP, ESR and PSA URINE R/E and C/S USG whole abdomen X-ray chest PA view.
