Hi.. Pain in the jaw could be because of tooth infection or gum infection. Scaling is a good technique to improve oral health and advisable for everybody annually. You might feel sensitivity for few days and slight bleeding but it's normal. You can start applying hexigel to your gums twice daily and visit dentist ASAP. Regards

Most likely you have an issue with your gums health. A simple scaling maybe all you need. But its better to get it checked. Final diagnosid will be after an examination. Scaling does not cause any problems provided it is done by an experienced doctor.

You may be suffering from some gum related problems like gingivitis etc. Visit a dentist and get it clinically observed. Scaling and polishing may solve your problem. It is completely safe and won't create any oro-dental problems.
