I have grommet in right ear for last 15 months. I am 30 yrs old currently. My doctor suggested to get it removed together with tympanoplasty. What should I do? I am scared of tympanoplasty. Is it even required?
Grommets were inserted in my ear as doctor thought I had Eustachian tube dysfunction. I always felt heaviness in my ears. 1 month back doctor also did Eustachian tube balloon dilation. My heaviness in ear problem is resolved but I am stuck with grommet which is not falling. Sometimes I experience sharp pain in right ear when I burp.
