Ear Fluid and negative ear pressure
My 4 year old has been recommended to undergo adenoids & tonsils removal and grommet surgery for ear fluid accumulation. Is there no other alternative to treat his condition?

I do LASER assisted Adenotonsillar Ablation. I do not do the Grommet Insertion as it has its own sequelae. Usually, once the Adenoids are vaporised, the eustachian tube block is relieved and nasal decongestants followed by intranasal corticosteroid sprays administered transnasally drain out the middle ear pus normalising the middle ear mucosa within 2 weeks of the surgery.

As you are also in Bangalore, bring him down to my clinic Healthcare@Basaveshwaranagar so I could review him and advise you accordingly.
