Green Cough watery eyes
Hi I have cold cough for the past 12 days. Occasional sneezing, watery eyes. No fever, No chest congestion.
Green discharge from nose, phlegm, tightness in forehead.
What medicine should I take. I was taking sinarest 1 tab daily.

Hello,
Inhalation of Vick vaporab fumes, two times a day.
Plenty of luck warm nimupani.
Tomato soup sip by sip.
Mosambi juice.
Continue synarest two times a day.
In report your WBC count is high, nutrophils high, most important eoshinophil count is raised which is one of the reasons of cough,n c.cold.
As it is since long time please consult a general physician as total history n examintion is very important accordingly some more test than he plan to start antibiotics ANTIALLERGIC, n treatment of eoshinophillia.
Avoid SPICY, FRIED, JUNK, GRESY,cold food.

DX â (if nec) CBC, nasal smear for eosinophils, Sputum GS/Cx, CXR.
Health Tips
TX â Fluids. Decongestants: Medium: Afrin nasal spray, 0.05, 2-3 sprays/nostril q12h. Strong: Mometasone or Fluticasone nasal: 50 mcg/spray, 2 sprays/nostril qd. Also: Pseudoephedrine 60 mg PO q4-6h prn. Expectorants: Mild: Benzonatate, Guaifenesin/Dextromethorphan. Medium: Promethazine with Codeine, 6.25/10/5 mL, 5 mL PO q4-6h prn. Strong: Chlorpheniramine/Hydrocodone, 8/10/5 mL ER susp, 5 mL PO q12h. Antihistamines: Cetirizine 10 mg PO qd. Fexofenadine 180 mg PO qd. Loratadine 10 mg PO qd. Antibiotics: (if there is colored sputum). Medium: Azithromycin, 500 mg PO x1 on day 1, then 250 mg PO q24h x4 days. Strong: Levofloxacin, 750 mg PO/IV q24h x5 days, Augmentin 500/125 BID for 5 days.
