I was treated for gonorrhea by a single shot and pills. Then was given doxycycline. What is doxycycline for like is it supposed to cure gonorrhea and what happens if I have sexual contact with someone who may have gonorrhea over a week after getting treatment but before the doxycycline treatment time is over

Chances of re exposure to gonorrhoea is likely if u have not completed the course of Medicines ,and inorder to confirm you would need a retest done after three months from the time of unprotected sex .
