Glue ear condition of my son

My son is confirmed with glue ear. Doctor advised me to do surgery.. Is there any possibility to avoid surgery and treat it by medicine.. Please advise

Your son seems to be diagnosed with otitis media with effusion which is also known as glue ear. If his condition is persistent for many months to ear then medications may not help much though intra nasal steroid sprays are usually tried for few months before doing surgery
