Glucose tolerance test in pregnancy
Hi Dr. I wanted to ask if glucose tolerance test is not mandatory now in pregnancy? My OB-GYN says they don't do it anymore, just check fasting, pp and hba1c. My fasting was 85, pp was 88 and hba1c was 4.7 at around 24 weeks. At 29 weeks i got my fasting and hba1c checked again from a different lab and fasting was 76 and hba1c 5.2. I want to trust my doctor completely but still feel worried as this test is so commonly given (I did ask twice for this test already). Please advice if the test is not suggested based on my reports?
