Glipizide and metaformin tablets in preg
Hi Doctor, I am currently 30 weeks pregnant type 2 diabetic, my sugar level were normal as I was taking tablets according to my doctor suggestion, till my 27 weeks but after that my sugar is showing little bit higher like fasting is nearly 130 and post meal goes Upto 180-190, when I visit recently for my routine checkup my doctor prescribed me glipizide and metaformin tablets IP and told me to take half a tablet per day morning after meal, and told me to come back after 10 days with the reports to check the dosage is sufficient or not, I just wanted to ask is this medicine safe for my baby and will it slow down my sugar levels till my delivery.

Glupizide is not safe the sugar levels are deranged  not slightly deranged Follow diabetic diet and exercise You should be put on insulin
