Giving cow milk to baby of 5 months
My baby girl is 5 months old and her weight is 5.5 kg, she is not fat and does all the activities that she must do at this age but many are suggesting to start giving her cow milk because she is slim. She doesn't feel hungry after breastfeeding. What is right and when should I start giving her cow milk?

Only breastfeeding to be given till 6 months. Avoid cows milk or animal products till 1 year of age as there is a risk of allergies. Start weaning foods at 6 months of age like dal rice. Don't listen to other people as they are not giving scientific advice. Consult a pediatrician

In order to decide whether she has gained adequate weight we need to know her birth weight . If she is not feeling hungry after breastfeed you can continue  breastfeeds till she is 6 months .
