Hello,
Thank you for your detailed message. Based on the current information:
1. Picort-6 contains deflazacort, a corticosteroid used for inflammation and congestion.
2. Gitam Plus contains Ginkgo biloba (a natural extract) and Piracetam (a nootropic).
There is no major or dangerous interaction reported between Picort and the ingredients of Gitam Plus. You may continue using both as per your current schedule (Picort daily, Gitam Plus on alternate days).
However, please keep the following in mind:
Ginkgo biloba can slightly increase bleeding tendency, so if you develop any bruises, gum bleeding, or heavy periods, reduce or stop it temporarily.
Deflazacort (Picort) should ideally be taken after food to avoid stomach upset or acidity.
Piracetam may sometimes cause mild restlessness or insomnia- if that happens, avoid taking it in the evening.
Next Steps
1. You may continue both tablets for now, as scheduled.
2. Monitor for any unusual side effects (acidity, palpitations, bruising).
3. At your follow-up, do inform your doctor about Gitam Plus use for future reference.
Health Tips
Avoid taking any herbal supplements continuously for long periods unless advised. Ginkgo should ideally be paused before any planned surgery or dental extraction. Stay well hydrated and avoid overuse of your voice to allow the vocal cords to heal completely.
Hello, based on available information, Picort 6 (a steroid) and Gitam Plus (Ginkgo Biloba + Piracetam) generally do not have major direct interactions. However, Ginkgo Biloba may increase bleeding risk, and Picort 6 can cause stomach irritation. So, monitor for symptoms like acidity, stomach discomfort, unusual bruising, or headaches.
Taking Gitam Plus on alternate days and Picort 6 daily is usually fine, but if you notice any new or concerning symptoms, it's best to seek medical attention sooner.
