Gestational diabetes
Gestational diabetesFemale, I'm 21 week pregnant... on 18 th week I got my GCT test with 75gms.the result came around 143 mg/dl. after 2 hour of drinking glucose.. but now at 21 week my dr recommend BSL f and pp test ..that test result came f= 70 and pp= 98 ...why there is so much difference in GCT test and BSL f pp test?

In GCT we give extra dose of sugars to see sugar levels, in case it is de ranged we do a fasting and pp-2. If it's normal, we dont start treatment for diabetes. But there is chance of development of gestational diabetes further in pregnancy.

Your glucose challenge test report is incomplete. There are several values at several time frames. Besides are you on insulin because I see you have labeled yourself at gestational diabetes.

Not to worry . Repeat OGTT with 75g oral glucose at 24-28wks.. if it comes deranged then u will be considered Gestational diabetes...hope u have got Anomaly scan done at 20wks
