I had an endoscopy in past where doc said there is a minor effect of GERD which causes sever heartburn problem to me. My symptoms are , i feel burning on empty stomach , i feel burning if i eat hot food , the burning keeep occuring in sometime & i have to drink water to calm it down. My water intake has increased to 7-8 ltrs per day due to this as i have to keeep drinking water to stop the burning sensetion in chest & stomach . please suggest a way to cure this permanently without medicine. I can make lifestyle changes as per suggestions

Well ..you need to have food on time..do not wait till hunger pangs.maintain proper time. Divide your meal time to small proportions so that you dont over eat..secondly drink lots of water. ..atleast 8-10 glasses per day . thirdly.. You need to stroll for a min of 15 min after each meal...stress,tension,all these are also factors of acidity...avoid outside food,junk and oily food...better to have gone cooked food for few days..thank you

3. Since when do you have this problem ?
4. Do you have any other health problems except this problem?
5. Do you take any other medicines ?
6. Do you have any allergy to any medicines or otherwise?
7. Do you have any acidity problem ?
8. Do you drink or smoke ?
9. Any constipation problem ?
10. Any Drugs history ?

Hello there...i understand your concern...try eating several small meals instead of three large ones whenever you can...Avoid foods that irritate your stomach, especially those that are spicy, acidic, fried or fatty... avoid coffee,tea etc... Avoid stress,consider calming activities, such as meditation, yoga etc...sleep with head raised position and have dinner at least 2 hours before sleep..do regular exercises...take pantaprazole 40 mg twice daily before food with above....
Firstly, raise head end of your bed by inserting 2 bricks under feet of head side of bed on either side so that you sleep incline with head & chest at a higher level than feet. Secondly, remove red chillies from your food entirely. Thirdly, no spicy food, avoid oily foods. Eat small frequent light meals rather than 3 heavy meals. Fourthly, avoid foods like Rajmah, white chanas, urad dal etc, avoid alcohol. Eat Banana
