I want to know if GERD and gastritis same. In my untrasound stomach, the mucosal lining was thickened and it showed gastritis. What tests shall I take for gastritis and GERD? I was also diagnosed with GERD.

Gastritis is stomach inflammation. It causes acidity, abdominal pain, bloating. GERD is a reflux of stomach content (acid,food,bile) inside the esophagus. It causes throat burning. Few symptoms are common but GERD is more of reflux.
