I have had geographic tongue for as long as I can remember. There isn't much information to be found online, because it seems as if nobody else has had this throughout their entire life. I'm also one of the 1 out of 10 people with geographic tongue that are affected by the foods that I eat, drinks that I consume, and toothpaste. I've never gone to the doctor for this because as far as I'm aware, there isn't anything they can do, even though some websites recommend

Geographic tongue can go away and reappear on its own. The affected area keeps shifting. You may not consult a dentist specifically for this but it is a good idea to get a regular check up done at least once a year
