Hello to all the dedicated doctors who play a vital rola in preserving precious lives. I have a query that i have already discussed with two doctors but i am seeking further clarification. I hope to receive your response in the comments section.
I did like to know the maximum time it takes for a pregnancy to be detected from the last menstrual period. Specifically for someone with a 40 day cycle or for those with a consistently delayed menstrual cycle of 8-9 days every month. What is the exact latest date by which a pregnancy urine test can guarantee 100% accuracy from last menses and also from date of physical intercourse.

First thing is, is your partner having her periods regularly or she is having her periods irregularity
That means does she get her periods every time after 40 days or it varies from cycle to cycle (some time 40-45-50 days) . If the interval between the periods is fixed then it is easy to calculate. If it varies then calculation will be difficult and erratic.

In case of 40 day cycle
U should check pregnancy on kit after 40 days of last menstrual period or max upto 45 days of last menstrual period...
And it cant be told from Day of physical intercourse as it should happen on the day and around ovulation .

31 days counting from day one of the periods if you have a regular 30 days cycle
In case of delayed cycle pregnancy test can be done on day 37
Counting from day one of the periods irrespective of the date of intercourse
A cycle longer than 37 days is not normal and needs to be investigated and treated

The ovulation occurs 14days prior to coming menstrual date in case of irregular cycle. When it is always delayed u can’t guess when it ovulated until and unless period comes or u are using any LH kit to detect it, u can also check ovulation with day 25 s. progesterone test. Day changes in irregular cycle)
