A menstrual period lasting longer than 7 days is clinically termed Menorrhagia or prolonged menstrual bleeding. While your flow is moderate (2-3 pads per day), the duration of 8 days suggests a hormonal imbalance, likely involving an shift in estrogen or progesterone levels. At 28, we must also rule out other common causes like small uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps, or sometimes even physical or emotional stress, which can temporarily disrupt the 'feedback loop' that tells the uterus to stop bleeding.
Next Steps
Identifying the hormonal trigger for prolonged bleeding early ensures your cycles remain predictable and healthy. Please book a full session for a detailed evaluation
