You probably need a controlled dosage of PPIs along with antacid syrup to reduce your symptoms, and it has to be gradually reduced than suddenly stopping it. Consult a Gastroenterologist or surgeon to get a proper assessment. Prolonged PPI will not cause side effects like chest pain and weakness. You will need to make necessary dietary changes too.
Next Steps
Consult a surgeon or Gastroenterologist in person.

Since you have chest pains i would highly recommend you to see a physician nearby to rule out cardiopulmonary causes for chest pains. Once that is done please get a Endoscopy of Upper Gastrointestinal tract to see the condition of your stomach whether the erosive gastritis is persistent or not
Next Steps
Physician opinion and Upper GI scopy
