My father is suffering from gastritis for more than 10 years. He use to take pansalve dsr and other sustained release gastric capsules but the past month he complained that his urine was giving out a foul smell so he asked our regular pharmacist about it and now he's given 'Esomefol-SL' which contains esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate 40mg and Levosulpiride 75mg
I heard it causes weakness of bones and also it's a schedule h drug. Should he continue that considering his age and the capsules property of weakening the bones.
He's backbone is broken so it's also a greater concern.
