RANTAC IS NOT GOING TO STOP HER GAS BUT EVENTUALLY IT WOULD INCREASE THE GAS. SEE THE NATURE OF STOMUCH IS ACIDIC AND THAT IS THERE FOR PROPER DIGESTION. IN THE LAST TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY THE STOMUCH IS PUSHED UP BY THE PREGNANCY AND SO THERE IS GAS TROUBLE OF HYPER ACIDITY. RANTAC WOULD STOP THE ACID SECRETION COMPLETLY AND THEN INTERFERE IN DIGESTION CAUSING INCREASED GAS. ASK HER TO STOP EATING BESAN FRIEND THINGS AND SAGO. TAKE SYP. CARMICIDE 3 TSP FOUR TIMES A DAY AND THAT WOULD SUFFICE

She should take frequent meals, avoid long intervals in between meals and take salad with meals. Drink lots of water and take a walk after food. Keep taking Tab Rantac it will help in digestion. During pregnancy hyper acidity is common problem. Avoid oily spicy and fried food. Have a glass of milk daily. Also can take tablet Pantop D when excess gas accumulation is troubling.
