Gallbladder stones
My mother has gallstones but never experienced any pain.In recent CT SCAN a stone is found in neck of gall bladder and also gall bladder is grossly distended.is surgery necessary at this time?

Yes. .there is no doubt that surgery is necessary in this case.
Any case of gall bladder stones requires surgery.
