Yes. Candida is a type of fungus. So Candida is a fungal infection. Genital Candidiasis can occur in females because of diabetes, severe antibiotic use for other problems, pregnancy, low immunity status or due to hormonal treatment for other problems like oral contraceptive pills etc., Or from an infected male partner. Tension/ stress is not directly related to Candidiasis.
Next Steps
Check for diabetes by consulting a physician. if present, get treated. consult me online for further information and proper prescription.
Health Tips
do not take antibiotics unless prescribed by a doctor. do not use soap/any chemicals to wash the affected area. use only normal tap water/ Normal saline (available in medical store) to clean the genital area. follow safe sexual practices and protection.
