Functional cyst in my right ovary measures 4.1 × 2.4 cm. I had poking pain in my right lower abdomen and on scanning we found this cyst. My doctor said nothing to worry about as it is common and it will most likely go and I should be fine by my next menstrual cycle. I was already in my february menstrual cycle when I was treating this. But as I still have pain, I was given a painkiller that he asked me to use if I have unbearable pain. I still do suffer from pain occasionally. Should I wait till next month as suggested by my doctor or should I treat this immediately?
