Your tooth can be preserved with proper treatment by a dentist  and will be described to you by your dentist only as per the condition after oral examination.  Even the half broken tooth can be brought to normal working conditions through means of proper treatment. Extraction is not advised as extraction leads to bone loss at the site of extraction and may lead to several other problems like shifting of teeth and other problems as well.
Next Steps
Please get your self checked at a dental clinic. Let your dentist decide the best course of treatment for you.

Hello Get an x ray done. If this tooth could be saved by Root canal treatment then no need to go for extraction. It's always better to save natural teeth.
