  4. Frequent motion , toddler. Please help!

Hi, My daughter is 2.4yrs of age and last few days she has been having very frequent motions sometime loose sometime normal (solid) but frequency was bothering us.So our doc prescribed Z&D syrup,well I gave 1ml to her once a day doesn't seem to be working for her ,am I giving her wrong dosage should it be 5ml instead not sure.please help

Hi , it seems that your child got viral diarrhoea. The syrup Z&D work as to recover the losses as well as to avoid recurrence of diarrhoea . So it should be given completely for 15 days to get the result .The dose should not be increased more than the prescribed quantity.
Next Steps
Complete the dose as per prescribed by doctor , make sure about adequate hydration of your child to avoid dehydration. You need to watch consistency as well as frequency of loose stool . It should improved in next 2-3 days or else you can follow up with your paediatrician for further care .
