Frequent migraines
Been having frequent migraines recently. They started about a month ago and are almost a daily occurrence. I went to the E.R. for them once they gave me an I.V. And a pain releaver. I don't remember the name. It stopped them for about a week. They hurt worse if I sneeze, cough, yell, or bend over.

Hi. First of all you need to undergo a detailed neurological evaluation to confirm the diagnosis of migraine and to rule out other causes of headache. There are several treatment options to abort an attack once it starts and also prophylactic drugs to reduce the number of such attacks in the future. Excellent control is possible with subtle lifestyle modifications like better sleep hygiene and regular medications. But detailed neurological evaluation before starting any medicine is mandatory.
