Frequent fever
My son is 4 years old having fever from yesterday vary from 99 to 102.5. We have consulted with doctor . Doctor has given one antiboitic and allesp syrp. Which contain PCM and some other salt of cold.
Have given Meftal p syrp if fever goes above 101.
Kindly suggest as he is having frequent fever

Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely.
If not accompanied by any other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed,just give paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required.
Use meftal ONLY if temperature is above 103, OR not reducing even 1 hour after giving paracetamol.
