Frequent Bowel movements
I always have 1 stool/day in morning from last 2,3 years as I take 9-10 sulfolax drops (laxative) daily to prevent anal fissure. Now from last 5,6 days I'm taking only 5-6 drops daily but I have smaller soft stools 2-3 times a day + there's severe anxiety when I need to poop and all time thinking about it. What could be reason for this? I don't eat street food. I eat fruits, vegetables, and home cooked food. Last year I had Fecal Calprotectin test as well (100% clear report). What should I do now? (I'm from Pakistan and I can't book a paid appointment so please guide me here 🙏)

You said that you were comfortable with taking 9-10 drops of Sulfolax but when you started taking 5-6 drops of Sulfolax you started having problems with your defecation. I think the simple answer is that you go back to your old schedule of taking 9-10 drops of Sulfolax. You are only 21 years old. You should consult with a General Surgeon regarding your fissure problem because it is already giving you Psychological problem. You will also not have permanent dependency on laxatives.

Long term use of laxative is not advisable. You need lifestyle modification and stop using laxative. And keep your self busy and stop thinking about your poop. Drink plenty of water. 4 liters per day. Avoid spicy and oily food. Have high fibre diet. Don't over eat. Have green leafy vegetables and fruits. Do some physical exercises on a regular basis. Go for morning and evening walks. Avoid tea and coffee. Have proper bowel habits. Pooping one's in a day is fine. You can take isabgol powder 2 teaspoon at night with warm water. Drink 2 glass of warm water in the morning before going to wash room.
