Fractured Pinky
I am a 21 year old female. I hurt my pinky finger almost two weeks ago, after falling. Though I could bend my finger normally and pain was minimal, I discovered that I was not able to straighten/ tense the finger and then bend it without a shooting pain near the top joint. I decided to get an X-Ray where I was told a I have a bone chip of my distal phalanx. I was not splinted, and was told to work on bending my finger to prevent deformity. I feel it’s gotten worse. Should it have been splinted?

Yes of course... Any injured area especially a fracture need 4-6weeks of immobilisation. Do not work on your injured digit. Share x-rays.
Health Tips
Splinting can be external or internal depending on type of fracture.
