Hello dr, my lill'one is 14mths she won't drink mild and don't eat rice regularly. She only have some fruits and my feeding. But my feeding is not sufficient. What kind of powder should I use to in milk to increase her hunger and to become healthy? She is very active eod dr! Thnq

Hi Mam. Fussy eating is the rule in small children.. Need to keep changing tastes and textures so that they eat more. If they refuse once, give the same item after few days. Then they may accept. Keep trying 7-8 times before concluding that baby does not want a particular food. No need to use any powder in milk.. Just add sugar or jaggery. Add ghee or butter or oil in all the meals so that they gain more weight. Give wide variety of food. Start non veg food if your family eat non veg. Eg boiled egg, fish, chicken suitably made for kids. Give Iron rich food like Ragi porridge, cerelac etc. Best way to assess her intake is enough or not is by regularly monitoring weight and height...
