Fistula in ano
Hi...I had fistula in ano, meanwhile I did homeopaythy medicines for 5-6 months... This was the recent MRI shows this result... Also I have slight pain and very very little puss drain ..may be 3-4 drop a days...does that mean it's resolved and cured ...please suggest

The MRI says there's no fistula tract noted. But as there are symptoms persisting and causing you discomfort, visiting the surgeon and getting yourself clinically examined is ideal.

I do recommend discussing the MRI scan with another radiologist by taking the films and CD for another opinion.
I usually prefer getting a TRUS (Trans Rectal ultrasound) for better visualization of the tract and clinically co-relate. So you can consider getting a TRUS also if symptoms persist.

Ano-metrogyl gel for local application.

Any pus discharge, even 3-4 drops, means the tract is still active and not fully healed. Fistulas rarely resolve with medicines alone. You need a surgical opinion â procedures like VAAFT or LIFT are minimally invasive and highly effective.

Yes, as per the MRI the fistula in another has healed. However if you have pain and pus discharge, it could mean that there is reinfection.Please once again consult a general surgeon for examination and management.

There is not residual tract as per MRI
But there is edema and u have pus discharge
It is symptomatic
Do Sitz bath
Start antibiotics Tab. Ciplox -tz 1-0-1
Tab. Pan-40 mg 1-0-0
Tab. Aceclo -sp 1-0-1 for one week
Wait for swelling and edema to reduce
And get another TRUS ( trans rectal usg)
After 15 days or one month
If another tract is formed u need proper surgery
Donot go for homeopathy or ayurveda again

Hello. Symptoms are persistent- so - problem remains unresolved. It is to be seen clinically. MRI films needs to be re discussed- because if the pus is there, it must be seen in the MRI films as well.
