Fissures Issue
My mother(67yrs) is suffering from a severe fissures issue. She has already shown it to the doctors and the solution they have given over it as fissures operation. Her stool is soft. She is vegetarian and does not eat anything spicy. Currently she is taking these medications regularly 1) Anovate ointment .Applying thrice a day. 2)Pilex tablets .2 at atime twice a day 3) sitting in warm water for 15 mints a day 4) taking satesabgol at bed time. 5) drinking lot of water. She is 67 and Can't get the Operation done right now. Can you please tell me some temporary solution which will help her in reduce the pain???

Apply Oint. Sitcom LD cream twice daily before passing stools. Use this for about 10-15 days. Also can be used is xylocaine jelly/cream. Jelly has 2% and cream has 5% strength.

Hello Don't use anovate not of much help in fissure good for piles, use nifecaine instead. It ll relax sphincter muscles and provide local anaesthetic help Also avoid satesabgol if she is having fissure though it helps relieve constipation but it increases bulk of stool further aggravating fissure... Rest all is okay
