Fever of my son
Sir I am from Assam my 3.2 yrs old son is suffering from fever last night . I gave him Calpo 120mg       5 ml around 2am at night . Today morning he was alright then again at noon his body was warm he was also not eating anything and was crying then I gave the second dose at around 3 pm. But after 3hrs his body was again warm and he was not willing to eat also. And now he is crying what should I do sir please help me . His weight is 17 kgs

Give Calpol 120 10 ml thrice aday for fever.You are giving it very less.Do cold sponging if fever doesn’t improves.

Give pcm as per dose sos Keep proper hydration Irritability is because of fever .

Check his temperature using a thermometer. If it is more than 99.6 f u can give paracetamol. The dose depends on the weight of the baby. If he is active and playful when he is not running a fever it is OK. I can continue using paracetamol every 6 hrs. If he develops cough, loose stools, vomiting, poor feeding u may see a doctor. Most of these infections are because of viruses. He will take 3 days to settle. Conti ue giving paracetamol and monitor the baby. If he develops any of the above mentioned symptoms we would run some blood tests on him,
