Fever for toddler
Hi doctor, my baby girl is 7 th month . she is suffering from fever from 2 days . am using paracetamol 0.8 ml for every 4 Hours. but fever is not subsided. when given paracetamol upto 2,3 hours it is ok. but 3-4 hours it is coming back. i went to pediatric . they gave meftal p. while the fever is about 101 or above he said. yesterday nit 12 i have given . upto mng 10 .it is ok. after that at 11 am. i gave antibiotic (cefixime oral suspension IP) fever is about 103. i have given paracetamol but no use. fever is highly increasing. can i give meptal p continuous for every 4 fours? and for how many days it should be given to my toldder? or can i use paracetamol only. give me reply pls. as early as possible. thank you.

We should not run behind treating fever, try to find out the cause of fever and treat. Meftal P only 3 times in a day. May need investigations, detailed examination if fever is rising. Keep offering to eat or drink. Watch out for danger signs like not accepting feeds, vomiting, letharginess, breathing difficulty
