Fever for my son
Child fell down on ground 2 days back while walking. So forehead got swollen.he was fine and active.the next day night he got fever 100F

Hi mam I need to know whether your baby had loss of consciousness vomiting or seizures soon after fall If not this rules out internal bleed only forehead swelling means its external blood collection hematoma U can give ice pack application for 1-2 days and paracetomol Cause for fever may be mild viral infection If prolonged fever needs workup

After one year once your baby started moving around you should be more attendive and make sure furnitures and objects in the house are child friendly and in bedroom arrange beds in the floor avoid cots till 2-3 years

Hi Mam /Sir Children usually fall while they are learning to walk and fortunately most of the falls while walking lead to minor injuries.  They heal spontaneously and do not need any treatment.  Small injuries do not cause fever. The fever is most probably a seasonal viral fever which is being seen in many children. Pls read the article on fever in practo health feed below.
