Fever for more than 5 hours
I have taken first dose of covishield today morning and have breastfed my 1 yr old. But after noon he started developing fever and still having it. I have given him Calpol drops. But I need help whether I can breast feed him or is this a reaction for the vaccination.

Research shows that you can breast feed the child. Now continue with it since you have given already.. Give calpol sos .if , plenty of ORS to . prevent dehydration. if problem worsen take appointment for consultation again.. Normally nothing will happen. So Relax . Don' t even give too much of calpal, infact don't give

Check the fever objectively with a digital thermometer. If it is above 99°F only then give paracetamol. Breast milk contains protective antibodies which protects babies with many diseases. So, breastfeed confidently. Happy parenting.
