Temperature of 97.5 degrees Farenheit is not considered as fever. It's likely to be a viral fever so shes should have antipyretics to control the temperature and will also help to reduce the backpain, antihistamine to control the cold. She should not skip meals and must have preferably a liquid diet(such as soups, juices) at this stage and you can gradually increase the consistency of the diet as she can tolerate. Avoid cold food and water. Steam inhalation thrice a day will also help with handling the cold. If the fever is persistent and worsens she should go to the nearest ER and get evaluated and undergo the necessary investigations
