My son age of 2.9 years old having fever from yesterday night and lose motion as well. We are giving him calpol 120 and ORS. His fever is less now but still having lose motion. One problem with my son is what ever we are giving he not taking in but keep in his mouth because of sometime he got vomit too. Somehow forcefully we are giving him medicine but he is not taking ORS. Can you please suggest some good syrup for lose motion which help him to recover bit faster. any way which By which he can start taking medicine in easily. I Would be very thankful to you.

For fever syp calpol is ok.. n give him as per requirements. Don't feed him forcefully as due to infection he is feeling nauseated. If not taking ORS can give him other liquid diet..like plain water, rice water, or dal ka pani.

Hello.
Your child seems to have Acute Gastroenteritis. You better watch out for fever and give Calpol only when the fever is raised. This condition will take 4 days to subside. You need to add Zn 20 Syp 5 ml 24 hrly.
Please do not force feed your child or he will be averse to the idea of the medication. Please take his condition in your stride. :) Hope this helps.
