Hi, I'm 31 years old female and married for 7 years. We have been trying to conceive and had succeeded 2 times but we had to abort both due to baby's growth issues. This happened 4 years ago. After that we didn't have any chance to succeed even though we tried IUI for 2 times. Now my doctor has adviced me to go with laproscopy as she wants to proceed with IVF treatment. She has given me some blood tests to be done before laproscopy and CT screening for Covid 19. I would like to know if CT scan is compulsory for laproscopy procedure and if it is advisable to take one as it is said that it may lead to major risk like cancer in future. Please let me know if I can proceed with CT scan and laproscopy procedure in this pandemic situation or I need to wait till the covid count subsides so that CT scan will not be needed for laproscopy.

Yes though its true that ct scan has got its radiation effect on the ovaries, but One time won't be that harmful.. If getting pregnant matters u the most at this point of time, then this urgency outweighs the little risks. Go for it Or ask doctor if Rt-pcr for 2 consecutive occasions will do , just to reconfirm that u dnt hv covid!
All the best wishes dear!!
