Recently my kid has femure fracture and doctor did hip spica for 6 weeks. After 2nd week end we had x ray but it looks fracture has still same displacement around 32 degrees. Does the child has remodelling capacity to cover 32 degrees oblique fracture? Also fracture has 3cm overlap.

Hip spica is the ideal treatment for femur fracture in children of 3years. It will remodel for and compensate for shortening .No need to worry.after one year both limbs will be of identical length .
